For the ninth year, the Nebraska Center for Energy Sciences Research (NCESR) offered a summer internship opportunity in energy sciences research to undergraduate students in the amount of up to $5,000 for the summer of 2022.
The eight recipients of the 2022 summer undergraduate internship were Matthew Dohmen, majoring in Mechanical and Materials Engineering; Bryce Herrington, majoring in Physics and Astronomy; Laura Kirshenbaum, majoring in Biochemisty; Aidan Larsen, majoring in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering; Camden Olds, majoring in Physics and Astronomy; Jackson Taylor, majoring in Mechanical and Materials Engineering. Samantha White, majoring in Mechanical and Materials Engineering; and Ruthi Zielinski, majoring in Physics and Astronomy.
Each recipient prepared a poster to describe the research projects. The posters were presented at the Nebraska Summer Research Symposium on August 5, 2022. The symposium was sponsored by the Office of Academic Affairs, Graduate Studies, and Office of Undergraduate Research at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
