2024 Summer Undergraduate Internship Projects

For the 11th year, the Nebraska Center for Energy Sciences Research (NCESR) offered undergraduate students summer internships in energy sciences research in the amount of up to $6,000 for the summer of 2024.  An additional $1,000 travel fund can be requested by the faculty sponsor to use for travel expenses for their sponsored student to present the research conducted during the summer internship at a relevant conference.

The seven recipients of the 2024 summer undergraduate internship were Julia Baron, majoring in Chemical Engineering; Truman Koehler, majoring in Mechanical Engineering; Samuel Peterson, majoring in Chemical Engineering; Joiner Pfister, majoring in Chemical Engineering; Jagger Spiering, majoring in Biochemistry; Truman Stoller, majoring in Mechanical Engineering; and Grace Van Cott, majoring in Biochemistry.

Each recipient prepared a poster about their research project to present at the Nebraska Summer Research Symposium on August 6, 2024. The symposium was sponsored by the Office of Academic Affairs, Graduate Studies, and Office of Undergraduate Research at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
