For the tenth year, the Nebraska Center for Energy Sciences Research (NCESR) offered a summer internship opportunity in energy sciences research to undergraduate students in the amount of up to $6,000 for the summer of 2023. An increase of $1,000 from previous years.
The eight recipients of the 2023 summer undergraduate internship were Bakir Mohammed Al-Ameri, majoring in Mechanical Engineering; Abbegail Bowers, majoring in Physics; Jarod Harris, majoring in Chemical Engineering; Bryce Herrington, majoring in Physics and Mathematics; Emma Kurtz, majoring in General Management and minoring in Environmental and Sustainability Studies; Keegan Nitsch, majoring in Chemical Engineering. Khaleb Pafford, majoring in Mechanical Engineering; and Truman Stoller, majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
Each recipient prepared a poster to describe the research projects. The posters were presented at the Nebraska Summer Research Symposium on August 3, 2023. The symposium was sponsored by the Office of Academic Affairs, Graduate Studies, and Office of Undergraduate Research at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
